Pike of Stickle is the most westerly of the Langdale Pikes, a steep rocky dome with just enough room for a cairn and a small level patch on top. A vein of hard greenstone on its southern face made it one of Europe's most important Neolithic stone-axe factories, and a small cave near the summit was part of the workings. Below runs the Stickle Stone Shoot, a badly eroded scree gully that's no longer recommended for walkers.
