Froswick is the smaller, grassier neighbour of Ill Bell, with a small cairn on its neat summit. The Roman road over High Street climbs its western flank through grooves in the fellside known as Scot Rake. On the Troutbeck side the ravine of Blue Gill cuts straight down from top to bottom, while the Kentmere side drops in pathless scree fans to the River Kent above Kentmere Reservoir.
