Kidsty Pike's sharp profile is easy to pick out from Haweswater, and even from the M6 near Shap. Its small grassy top, with a cairn right above the Riggindale face, is the highest point on Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk. Riggindale below was home to England's last golden eagle until it disappeared in the mid-2010s, and the ruins of Riggindale Farm, blown up by the Army as Haweswater rose, sit by the shore.
